About us

Built on care.
Shaped by people.

For over 10 years, we have helped adults with mental health needs find stability, belonging and greater independence.

Our story

A family-run organisation with a clear purpose

Sleapcross House began with a belief that supported living should feel human: safe without being restrictive, professional without feeling clinical, and ambitious about what each person can achieve.

Today, our three homes support adults who may be stepping down from hospital, moving from another care setting or finding that isolated accommodation is not working for them. We offer a steady base, responsive support and the time to move forward at an individual pace.

We are proud to have achieved Excellent status under the PAMMS monitoring framework and to have won the 2024 Herts Care Award for Mental Health.

Recognised quality

High standards.
Independently recognised.

Our standards are reflected in independent quality monitoring, sector awards, professional membership and wider commitments to responsible practice. These recognitions sit alongside the everyday evidence that matters most: people feeling safe, respected and supported to progress.

A supportive conversation between two people

What makes us different

We see the person, not a diagnosis.

Support begins with listening: what matters, what is working, what feels difficult and what a meaningful future looks like. Plans are made with the individual and change as confidence and circumstances change.
